Its territory spans across Asia and Europe, serving as a bridge connecting Asia and Europe. In terms of transportation, it is the route for the first and second Eurasian Continental Bridges. Kazakhstan was a crucial location on the Silk Road in ancient times.

-The capital Nur Sultan (formerly known as Astana) is located in northern Kazakhstan and is the largest transportation hub within Kazakhstan. It has now become the largest international center in Central Asia, situated at the intersection of the Caucasus, the Eurasian Economic Union region, the Middle East, western China, Mongolia, and Europe, adjacent to numerous Russian regions. The successful hosting of the 2017 World Expo greatly enhanced the economic and infrastructure development of Nur Sultan (formerly known as Astana).

Market Overview:

-Against the backdrop of the global pandemic, Kazakhstan ranked first among the only four countries in the world where the automotive manufacturing industry maintained growth in 2020; In 2021, the automobile manufacturing industry in Harbin maintained a rapid growth momentum, with a growth rate of 23.4% as of the end of October

-From January to November 2021, the sales volume of new cars by car dealers in Kazakhstan increased by 35%, and Kazakh consumers purchased about 107000 new cars. The most popular brands among Kazakh consumers are Chevrolet (25% of sales), Hyundai (19%), Toyota (12%), Kia (8.2%), and Lada (7.6%). The continuous growth of new car sales has led to a continuous expansion of the local car ownership in Kazakhstan.

-As China and Kazakhstan jointly build the "the Belt and Road", Chinese enterprises vigorously expand their business in Kazakhstan. The Golden Grassland Automobile Factory, a subsidiary of Allur Group, owned by China Machinery Import and Export (Group) Co., Ltd. and Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Co., Ltd., has become the largest automobile manufacturer in Kazakhstan, with a market share of up to 53% in 2020 and a new historical high in production in the first half of 2021; In 2020, 100 Yutong pure electric buses will be put into operation in the capital Nursultan, setting a single purchase batch record in Kazakhstan. The deepening cooperation between China and Kazakhstan in various fields is creating more potential and opportunities for Chinese enterprises to develop in Kazakhstan.

-In the past five years, the demand for tires has increased significantly, with an average of about one-third of motor vehicles needing to replace tires each year. At present, Kazakhstan's tire demand is completely dependent on imports, with an annual import of about 6 million light vehicle tires.

Major benefits:

On July 10, 2022, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan announced that starting from July 8, 2022, Kazakhstan will implement a 14 day visa free entry policy for citizens of China, India, and Iran. The announcement also stipulates that citizens of the above-mentioned visa free countries cannot enter the country for a total of 42 days within 180 days. During the 14 day visa free period, citizens of the three countries mentioned above can engage in business and tourism activities in Kazakhstan.

Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Zhang Xiao, stated in an interview that Kazakhstan's implementation of a 14 day visa free entry policy for Chinese citizens marks substantial progress in resolving the "visa difficulties" for personnel exchanges between China and Kazakhstan, making Kazakhstan the country with the highest degree of visa free entry for Chinese citizens among Central Asian countries. This is of great significance for further promoting the people to people relationship between China and Kazakhstan, deepening the cooperation between China and Kazakhstan in various fields, and jointly building the "the Belt and Road" with high quality. It also conforms to the spirit, essence and development requirements of China Kazakhstan permanent comprehensive strategic partnership, and provides more favorable conditions for China Kazakhstan trade exchanges and Chinese exhibitors to participate in Kazakhstan.
